Read an excerpt here!

An anthology with 3 stories featuring cowboy heroes—does it get any better than that? Yes it does. The two other authors will be Lorraine Heath and Georgina Gentry. My story, titled, Moonlight Whispers, will be set in Montana. Well, technically it was Washington Territory at the time. But it is set in a place that will eventually be known as the Missoula Valley—where I live.

THE PRESENCE OF MIND

I asked a group of readers what they thought would be a fun addition to my website and one reader suggested I post some scenes that were cut from my books.

The first thing I thought of was this Epilogue from Loving Mercy. This was cut for two reasons. First, my editor doesn't care for epilogues. Personally, I love 'em. I suppose it is because one of my favorite authors, Susan Elizabeth Phillips always has an over-the-top epilogue in her books. It was in that spirit that I wrote this one.

The second and more important reason I cut this scene is that I didn't want to end the book with Mercy pregnant. I knew that was in her future because I was already working on Loving Miranda. But I wanted to make it clear that "happily ever after" doesn't require a baby. So I cut the scene.

Another bit of trivia. I originally had Thad calling Mercy "cougar" and Mercy calling Thad "grizzly". I thought it was cute. My editor thought it was disgusting. I kept those names from this original scene which I swept off the cutting room floor for your reading pleasure. Keep watching here for more cut scenes in the future.
